Laura has lived in Lakewood for over twenty two years. She married Frank (widower) with three amazing children & raised them as her own, along with having one daughter together as well here in Lakewood.
Laura was on the Bellflower School Board for sixteen years & was four times President. She was also on the
CalAps board & served as President. CalAps is a program within the school district used to introduce students to vocational classes.
Laura is an active member in the community & has always been open to serving the community that has given her so much. Laura was Girl Scout Leader for over ten years for her youngest daughter's girl scout troop. She also volunteered during the Pandemic, along side YMCA, giving out 1600 meals to
children in the community. She has volunteered on the board for the Pan Am
Association, along with being active in Soroptimist International.
Laura has a big beautiful family that she raised with her husband Frank here in Lakewood. All four attended elementary school through high school in Lakewood as well. Her children were involved in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Mayfair Marching Corps, Track & Field, Community Pageants, and so much more. Now that they are all grown up, Laura has a son in the Navy. Her other son has his own Engineering company. Her eldest daughter earned her degree from Cal State Fullerton Data Analytics, and her youngest daughter now works in tech as a web developer & digital marketer.
Laura has worked in the surgical field for over twenty years working as an Oral Surgery Assistant.
When Laura first came to Lakewood, she fell in love with the City. She truly believes it’s a great
City to raise a family & she strives to keep our city safe.
